Usually each link you earn to your website is either coming from a guest post, blog comment, free directories, bookmarks, press releases, or something similar. These links aren’t worth much in 2014, as Google has flagged them as a low quality source of backlinks. So how do you get backlinks to rank your posts in search engines? Should you stop building backlinks to your website? Absolutely NOT! You should keep looking for good backlinks to increase your website traffic and search engine positions. Remember that only good content will not increase your traffic or search engine ranking positions. You need good backlinks and other SEO factors to rank well.

Planning a solid backlink strategy along with good content will always work in 2014. Though there are many ways of earning a quality backlink, I prefer using the social signals to improve the keyword positions technique. Out of all the social media networks, I prefer using Google Plus as my direct point of getting quality backlinks. You need to spend quality time on your Google Plus account to improve its authority and the overall page score.

Why Only Google Plus to Improve Your SEO Efforts?

Many of us do not know the fact that Google uses the Google Plus Feed to find fresh content for its search engine. If you keep sharing your content on Google Plus with attractive pictures and content, they are more likely to get indexed. Google Plus also has an amazing feature that lets you edit your published posts whenever needed. So don’t worry if you’ve made a mistake in selecting the right stuff to promote your content.

You should always make sure that the content you publish on Google plus is worth being share by others. If many people are sharing your content,  Google Plus might automatically change your article or post link to do-follow. Though this feature is now disabled, I believe Google Plus will launch it sooner or later. For now, start focusing on building authority to your Google Plus profile.

Creating a Google Plus profile is not the only thing you need to rank a keyword. You should have good authority to your Google Plus profile, so that you can send quality backlinks whenever needed. You can make multiple Google Plus pages within your account, so use themwisely to rank your keywords. Initially, I would recommend only one fan page per account, which can later spread to different accounts and pages. You can follow the strategies below to improve the overall authority of your Google Plus page.

Option 1: You can build authority to your Google Plus profile by sending dofollow links from your WordPress account. Add a rel=author tag to your WordPress Author Bio, linking to your Google Plus profile. This way you can send dofollow links to your Google Plus page, and also qualify for the Google Authorship program.

Option 2: Write guest posts in other blogs without expecting a link to your website. Make it a habit to write guest posts in other blogs with a link pointing to your Google Plus profile. Many bloggers do not allow you to send dofollow backlinks to your website, but will surely welcome the thought of sending a backlink to your Google Plus page.

Option 3: Leave good comments on other blogs with links pointing to your Google plus profile. I usually recommend you to comment on a comment luv enabled blog, which automatically pulls your Google Plus feed if accepted. Make sure to enter a valid comment, else your comment might be trashed immediately.

Option 4: You can send a dofollow link to your Google Plus profile within the top of your blog sidebar. I always recommend to nofollow other social media accounts like Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. Sending dofollow links from your homepage might send more authority to your Google Plus account.

Option 5: Another amazing way to get backlinks to your Google Plus profile is by promoting the page on other social media accounts. Though links coming from Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn are not dofollow, I believe these links can increase your overall authority and followers in long run.

Building authority to your Google Plus is not an overnight job. You have to continuously build good backlinks to your Google Plus account, so that you can link back any keywords you wish to rank.

How to Link Your Keywords with Google Plus?

Linking keywords within your Google plus account is quite simple. Just login your Google Plus account and click on Profile, About and then click on Edit under the Story and Work sections.

Once the window above pops up, enter the keywords which you target to rank high on Google. Make sure you don’t spam too many keywords. I recommend sending only 3 to 4 keywords in every 100 words of content I write in the Introduction section. Since you can edit this section whenever needed, don’t worry if you think you might want to make a change later.

How Often You Should Change Your Keywords?

According to some SEO forums, your link profile should always have equal amounts of different types of backlinks pointing your website. I always make sure to link back my keywords from Google Plus, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn, where the majority of the backlinks will point out from Google Plus alone. I follow either a 65-35% or my own Siren link building method.

The 65 – 35% Linking Method:

This amazing link building technique has helped me to rank many keywords in very less time. In this process, I make sure the 35% of links are coming from the Google Plus account, while the remaining links 65% will be from blog commenting, guest posting and high quality press releases. I always make sure to not use the same anchor text in more than 2 times in my entire link building campaign.

The Siren Linking Method: (Created by SEOSiren)

The Siren link building technique is a tough concept where you need to maintain a pure balance between all your backlinks. If my keyword is getting 20 backlinks, all these backlinks will be coming from different sources like blog commenting, guest posting, Google plus linking strategy, Wikipedia and etc, with equal link distribution.

This practice gets tougher when you monitor both dofollow and nofollow links pointing to your anchor text keyword. So you must have 100% knowledge on monitoring your keywords from the beginning. Don’t worry, I will surely write a detailed article on this backlink strategy.

Will Nofollow Links From Google Plus Pass Link Juice?

Many SEO communities have mentioned that “rel=nofollow” links pass valuable sets of link juice to your website. It really doesn’t matter from where you are getting a nofollow link, as long as it comes from a good source. As per my experience, I believe that sending nofollow links from social media accounts will boost up your keywords gradually.

The above chart clearly explains the importance of Google Plus +1’s, as well as the rel=nofollow attribute. The best part of getting nofollow links to your website is they never let Google to penalize your website. What goes more Viral on Facebook?

People always get confused on what to post more. Pictures or Videos? Well, for me videos were the most viral thing to get thousands of followers. Usually almost all the Facebook pages publish only picture content to engage their followers. But what works more in Facebook is viral video content. People love to watch videos on Facebook, but finding them on time is the most difficult part to manage. 60% of my Fanpage contains only videos, which attracted thousands for followers in just 30 days.

This video changed the complete face of my Facebook page. It was shared more than 2,33,517 times with 53,970 likes and 16,000 comments. Posting videos on Facebook is quite difficult to manage, as they tend to disable your video uploading option within a week. You might have seen tons of pages which post videos on Facebook, but why are you unable to do the same? Well, that’s the trick! You just can’t post videos directly. There are some techniques involved to play safe. Find them below.

How to Post Videos on Facebook without a Ban?

Even though you find the most awesome video on earth, you can’t post directly to engage with your followers. There are some techniques to follow on how to publish videos on Facebook. Just like YouTube, even Facebook has some guidelines for publishing a video.

Though these guidelines are not official, they seem to be working fine for me. So the first and foremost thing to remember is video permissions. You have to contact the right people to ask whether the video can be shared with your community. Write down a mail to the concern media person to seek a permission from the management. Most of the times you won’t get any reply, but its okay to post the videos with little changes. Out of all the techniques on how to upload a video on Facebook, I found few basic steps to play safe on Facebook.

1. Always make sure to download videos from Public forums.
2. Make sure the downloaded videos doesn’t contain any hatred, drug, porn or racism angles while publishing.
3. Change the video name to xyz.mp4 or abc.mp4 or anything where it doesn’t contain the same title when you downloaded. For example, if my video title is, “People are awesome – 2014 edition.mp4″, then change it to “xyz.mp4″ while uploading the video.
4. After uploading the video, make sure the video Title and Description are not same. You should use different content for both these fields.
5. Never use the same Title or Description from where you downloaded the Video. Example: “People are awesome 2013″ can be renamed in title as “Wow! These people are simply awesome!” whereas the description can be “I wonder how some people are so amazing at what they do.”
6. Don’t use relevant hash tags or keywords to tag them in your videos.

What if Facebook has disabled your video upload option?

As mentioned earlier, Facebook doesn’t give you much authority to post continuous videos on your Fan pages. But if you follow the above mentioned guidelines, Facebook will not be able to recognize your video as illegal. Even if you have taken the right permission to upload a video, Facebook will always poke into them as an offense.

Don’t panic if you see the above message. Here Facebook is just trying to act smart by showing that your video is alleged to copyright infringement. I’m not asking you to completely ignore this message when it appears, but try to solve it with patience and trust. Soon after you see the notification from Facebook, make sure to File a Counter Notification immediately. Tell them that your video has the right to be published on Facebook, but not sure about why this issue has been raised.

This notification will be shown only once on your Facebook account, but will be saved on your registered email forever. You can open your gmail (if the account is registered with gmail) and look for the following messaging to “File a Counter Notification”. Facebook will immediately restore your video back on the page, but not every time. You can find the “File a Counter Notification” option in the copyright infringement itself. Take a look at the above screenshot.

I have observed that Facebook will give you only 3 notifications on copyright infringement. So you got only 3 chances to show your viral content to people. Be extremely careful while uploading the videos, else Facebook might permanently ban your account. So what happens after 3 copyright infringement notifications? Well, my account was temporarily blocked for 6 months from post any videos on my Fanpage. But still I’m able to upload video on Facebook! How? Well, that is the secret my friend, can’t disclose everything. Ping me on Facebook if you have the same issues of temporary ban. I will tell you how to recover your account to start posting videos on Facebook.

Where to find the Viral Content?

Finding viral content on Internet is very easy when you do it right. I usually follow 3 simple places to find viral videos on Internet. The first one being Wimp.com, Second one is Break.com and the third one is YouTube. You have to search continuously for better and better video content to post on your Facebook page.

Remember that Facebook takes a serious offense if you have downloaded the video from YouTube and uploaded on their Fan pages. I don’t know the exact reason for this, but don’t try to give Facebook a hint that the video is taken from YouTube at all.

Also you can find some really good videos on tons of Facebook pages. All you have to do is to search for better and better content to upload on your Fan page. You can find some serious content on CNN Videos, but I would suggest you to stay away from them. Always make sure to stay away from News and Media content, as they contain 100% copyright material.

What to do after posting Viral Content?

If you have find some viral content, then don’t wait to upload it on your Fanpage. And as soon as your post your content, start sharing it on your profile and other friends walls who don’t mind you posting viral stuff. You can also tag strangers onto your video, but I would suggest you to stay away from that cheap technique.

You cannot piss off your people to unlike your pages. So don’t make the mistake of tagging unknown people onto your videos. I have found that Facebook is very much okay with videos where were first uploaded on Facebook itself. But never leave a source a bottom. If you write a source a bottom, you are clearly giving a hint to Facebook that you don’t own the content. So why to invite more troubles?

When to Post your Viral Content?

The best time to make your content viral is early evenings. People tend to share a lot of stuff on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Post your content after 5pm IST and check the engagement via Facebook Insights. Your page insights can show you a detailed view on when people engaged the maximum. Try to learn some basic analytics on how to play with your data.

I posted almost all the content after 5 PM, which gave me a whooping 200K likes in just 30 days. People tend to share your content every single day when they love your posts. Try to engage them by replying to the comments, inquiring and messages. Don’t hurt anyone with your content or behavior. Maintain a long term relationship with your Fans, so that you can grab the awesome ROI via posts or publicity.

Why do I even need a viral Facebook Fanpage?

You might have heard about Google Panda, Penguin, Hummingbird and other major penalties. All of these updates are made to ruin your online blog business if they lack in quality. Facebook doesn’t have that risk of penalties or traffic drop. Once people like your stuff, they tend to share your blog articles, posts and sometimes promotions.

You need a Website/Blog with good quality ,unique and informative content. Keep writing original content. Don’t includes content that violate Adsense Program policies.

Google does not like “thin” content sites that look as if they were created just for AdSense. So make sure that your site has longer articles (at least 600 words and more).

Include at least 50 original posts and make sure that your content is very niche.

Own a top-level domain

Be professional . Own a top-level domain before applying for AdSense.

If your application gets rejected than don’t panic, add some more Awesome Content and apply after at least 2 weeks.
